A Little Creation for 13 Arts

Hello! I'm here with you today to share a little project I made using the glorious "Blue Magnolia" collection from 13 Arts.

Again I have been experimenting with decorating embroidery hoops. I am really enjoying the experience. i think I'm definitely addicted to this substrate.

After applying a layer of clear gesso over my calico background, I stenciled a section of the image from my 6x6 stencil using white gesso. After it had dried I collaged on a stamped image I had made onto tissue paper onto the background. I used the gel medium to collage it on. With a white gesso base it stood out perfectly.

With LOTS of fussy cutting later I had all the beautiful flowers from the Blue Magnolia collection ready to arrange along with some gorgeous butterfly's to compliment.

I also added a little bit of raw chipboard and some molded angel wings that I colored blue with the Watercolor set. I added a little bit of splash ink in the white and some splashes of colour using some Pastel sprays.

EXCITING New Release with AALL & Create for 2019

I can't think of a better way to kick off the New Year than with a NEW RELEASE!

I have my LARGEST collection of stamps and stencils to date being released by AALL & Create TODAY!! in Frankfurt at the Creative World Trade Expo.

So with no further a-do .... here are the releases from myself and my super clever daughter Kaitlyn Paltridge.

First up are my A6 Stamp sets. I have one series I have called "Bouquet" (#180 "Bouquet Large", #181 "Bouquet Add Ons", #182 "Bouquet Quote Set", #183 "Bouquet Small and #162"Bouquet Border") which includes a Bouquet Border stamp along with four A6 stamp sets including an "Add on" set so you can either add onto the bouquets already designed OR you can design your own from scratch. The second series is all about cuttings and flower pots! ( #178 "Garden Cuttings" and #179 "Flower Pots") I made this series especially for card making but I know they'll be fabulous in any project!

My third series is a follow on from my previous stamp series of all those little cutie pies in A7 size (#184 "Little Frida", #185 "Basketball Kid", #186 "Clown", #187 "Pirate", #188 "Robot", #189 "Super Girl" and #190 "Princess")
This time I've focused on a bit of a dress up theme for them and a special request for a wheelchair cutie pie. I seriously can't decide which one is my favourite (they say you shouldn't have favourites but......)

Kaity has blown me away AGAIN! with her amazing designs. This time around she has three A6 sized stamp sets and four little A7 sized stamps. The A6 sets are all unique and showcase Kaity's beautiful drawing style. Stamp set #175 "In Her Own Skin" is AMAZING! We ALL NEED this stamp set in our collection. The quote is a little cut off in the packing sample but it says

"I am obsessed with becoming a woman comfortable in her own skin".

Such a powerful message for all women and men alike!
Equally powerful is her set #174 "Eyes". Man this kid can draw! and again another powerful quote

"What you hide in your heart is read in your eyes"

This girl has some impressive design skills! OK I may be a bit biased ...... proud mumma right here!

Her final A6 set is so adorable. number #173 "Bundle of Joy" is perfect to make little welcome baby cards with or even a little baby book for recording milestones, which is exactly what I did.

Her little stamp sets are so different and again so versatile. The houses (#191, #192, #193 and #194) can be lined up in a row in an art journal page or simply stamped as individuals for cards or tags.

Next up STENCILS!! (#72 "Let Go", #73 "Bouquet", #74 "Crowd", #75 "Illusion" and #76 "Shadow People") I am soooooo excited about these. I have been working on these designs for literally MONTHS just to get them right. I use stencils in my art all the time and I wanted to created something unique and yet versatile. I hope I made the grade! They are a size A5 or 5'x8' which is a fabulous size for art journaling. I don't have any samples of these so I couldn't make anything to show you but boy when I finally get them into my hot little hands I will be running a creative muck. I promise to annoy you with all my posts!

So that's the new release from Kaity and I. Pretty cool huh? I really loved working with her, she really is a talented little cookie.

All of the designs you see here are original and unique as they are ALL hand drawn. AALL & Create are amazing at supporting us as artists and designers and really appreciate the "human" element that goes into designing every single stamp and stencil. Thank you Ab for believing in us!

Where can I get them from? you say ..... Well
for the first time ever I will be placing a pre-order for delivery here to Australia from the UK. So if you NEED any of these new designs or you've been trying to find the old designs in stores then you can now order them directly through me.

I will only be doing pre-orders as I'm not a retail store, just a designer who wants you all to be able to access these awesome new releases.
Pre-order means pre-pay so if you are really keen to get your hands on these beauties I can fix you up. Remember there is a long wait for anything from overseas. I'll be closing off the order at the end of February so we can get them on their way. The aim is to have them in your hot little hands no later than the end of March. If you need them before this time then you can order them directly from the UK or the US at a few stores. Here some links to stockists.

If you live in Brisbane you can drop into "The Crafty Chain" and see what they have in stock or ring the lovely ladies and ask if they are stocking the stamps you are looking at buying. They may be able to help you out too.
